About Me

Hi, I’m Ashna. I am passionate about children’s fiction and would love to copyedit your novel or give it a sensitivity read.

I have a journalism degree from the University of Westminster and editorial training from the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. I have experience working with children, and that will come out in my editing decisions if you hire me.

I think writing children’s fiction is important; raising another generation of readers who will be transported to different worlds and fall in love with it like we did. Children’s fiction is also important for the development it gives; kids will only read if they’re engaged in the story, and it educates them in the process. Having worked in schools, it’s magic to see them finally get it.

I am a prolific reader and very aware of fandom trends so I could advise you on that if you want my opinion. I will put your vision first, but if you want insight, I’ll help.

In the summer I love to go to the beach and relax with a book. In the winter, you can find me bundled up in blankets with a cup of hot chocolate, watching TV. ;)
